Acceptable Use Policy
Effective date: 15 June 2026
This Acceptable Use Policy sets out the rules that apply to the use of IDEEVY’s identity document verification service.
“IDEEVY”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to INTEGRITYTECH HK LIMITED. “Customer” means the business customer using the IDEEVY service. “End User” means the individual whose identity document is submitted for verification. This Policy forms part of the Terms of Service or other written agreement between IDEEVY and the Customer.
1. Purpose of the Service
IDEEVY provides identity document verification services. The Service is intended to help Customers verify identity documents submitted by End Users as part of a lawful onboarding, account opening, access control, compliance, or similar business process.
The Service is not intended to be used for hidden identification, surveillance, profiling, harassment, unlawful monitoring, or any purpose that is inconsistent with the End User’s knowledge and participation.
2. Lawful and Transparent Submission of Documents
Customer must not submit identity documents, document images, extracted document data, or other personal data to IDEEVY unless Customer has the required authority, consent, notice, legal basis, and permissions under applicable law.
Customer must ensure that any identity document submitted to IDEEVY was obtained from the relevant End User with that End User’s clear knowledge and direct participation, and that the End User expressly provided the document for the purpose of identity document verification or another clearly disclosed related purpose.
Customer must not submit documents collected secretly, indirectly, deceptively, without proper notice, or from sources that do not involve the clear and informed participation of the relevant End User.
Customer remains responsible for providing all notices, disclosures, consent requests, privacy information, and legal explanations required for its relationship with the End User.
3. No Hidden Verification or Surveillance
Customer must not use the Service to verify, identify, monitor, investigate, or track individuals without their knowledge where such knowledge, notice, consent, or participation is required by applicable law or by the nature of the verification process.
Customer must not use the Service for surveillance, stalking, harassment, doxxing, political persecution, intimidation, blacklisting, or similar harmful or abusive purposes.
4. No Discriminatory or Harmful Use
Customer must not use the Service or verification results in a manner that unlawfully discriminates against individuals or groups on the basis of protected characteristics under applicable law.
Customer is solely responsible for ensuring that its use of verification results is fair, lawful, proportionate, and consistent with the notices and purposes disclosed to the End User.
5. No Biometric or Facial Recognition Use
IDEEVY’s standard service does not collect selfies, perform liveness checks, perform face matching, conduct facial recognition, or create biometric templates.
Customer must not attempt to use the Service to perform facial recognition, biometric identification, liveness checks, biometric profiling, or any similar biometric processing.
6. No Full KYC, AML, or Regulatory Decision Use Unless Agreed
IDEEVY provides identity document verification services only.
Customer must not represent IDEEVY as providing full KYC approval, AML screening, sanctions screening, PEP screening, adverse media screening, regulatory approval, financial crime clearance, or final compliance decision-making unless such service is expressly agreed in writing.
Customer remains solely responsible for any final decision to approve, reject, onboard, restrict, suspend, or otherwise act in relation to an End User.
7. Security and API Use
Customer must use the Service in a secure and responsible manner. Customer must not:
- attempt to bypass, disable, or interfere with security controls;
- attempt to gain unauthorized access to IDEEVY systems, accounts, data, APIs, infrastructure, or networks;
- share API credentials with unauthorized persons;
- use compromised, exposed, or improperly secured API credentials;
- introduce malware, malicious code, automated attacks, or harmful traffic;
- scrape, probe, scan, stress test, load test, or benchmark the Service without IDEEVY’s prior written consent;
- reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive source code, models, rules, systems, or technical implementation details of the Service;
- interfere with the availability, integrity, performance, or security of the Service.
8. Excessive or Abusive Use
Customer must not use the Service in a manner that creates excessive operational load, unreasonable traffic, abusive submission patterns, or security risk.
IDEEVY may restrict, throttle, suspend, or block access where usage patterns indicate abuse, misuse, technical risk, security risk, or use outside the intended scope of the Service.
9. No Unlawful Use
Customer must not use the Service in violation of applicable law, regulation, court order, contractual obligation, or third-party right.
Customer is solely responsible for ensuring that its use of the Service is lawful in the jurisdictions where Customer operates, where End Users are located, and where documents are submitted or processed.
10. Minors
Customer must not submit identity documents or personal data relating to minors unless Customer has a valid legal basis and all required consents, authorizations, notices, or permissions under applicable law.
Customer remains solely responsible for determining whether the submission of documents relating to a minor is lawful and appropriate.
11. Cooperation and Investigation
IDEEVY may investigate suspected violations of this Policy. Customer must reasonably cooperate with IDEEVY in connection with any investigation relating to suspected misuse, security risk, unlawful processing, or violation of this Policy.
IDEEVY may request information from Customer to verify that documents were submitted lawfully and with the relevant End User’s knowledge and participation.
12. Suspension and Termination
IDEEVY may suspend, restrict, or terminate Customer’s access to the Service if IDEEVY reasonably believes that Customer has violated this Policy, created security or operational risk, submitted documents without proper authority, used the Service for unlawful or harmful purposes, or otherwise used the Service outside its intended scope.
Suspension or termination may occur without prior notice where IDEEVY considers immediate action necessary to protect the Service, End Users, other customers, or IDEEVY’s legal, operational, or security interests.
13. Reporting Misuse
Suspected misuse of the Service may be reported to legal@ideevy.com.
Reports should include relevant details, including the Customer involved, the nature of the suspected misuse, and any supporting information available.
14. Changes to this Policy
IDEEVY may update this Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on ideevy.com or otherwise made available to Customers.
Continued use of the Service after an updated version becomes effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
